    Described by \u201cOpera today\u201d<\/strong> magazine as \u201ca soprano of dramatic power and commanding presence\u201d<\/strong>, an <\/span>alumna of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme<\/strong>, Russian soprano Vlada Borovko became a member of the programme at the start of the 2015\/16 season, immediately upon her graduation from the Kazan State Conservatory. Shortly after joining the programme, she made an impressive debut as Violetta Valery<\/strong> on the main stage of Royal Opera House<\/strong>, when she was called at the last moment to step in for an ailing colleague. The event marked not only her debut in the role but also her stage debut in a leading role. Since then she has appeared in productions of \u201cNorma\u201d,\u201cL\u2019elisir d\u2019amore\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cBoris Godunov\u201d<\/strong>, as well as taking on the role of Aspasia in Royal Opera House\u2019s<\/strong> acclaimed production of \u201cMitridate, Re di Ponto\u201d<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In season 2023\/2024 Vlada Borovko is making her role debut as Elisabetta in “Don Carlo”<\/strong> G. Verdi<\/strong> with Opera de Baug\u00e9<\/strong> in France.  In 2024 she became one of the winners of “Operacall” competition in Moscow, the result of which was a professional recording and preparing the role of Senta in “Der Fliegende Holl\u00e4nder” by R. Wagner.<\/span><\/div>\n
     Ms. Borovko opened the 2020\/21 season at Staatheather Kassel<\/strong> with the role of Violetta<\/strong> in the world premiere of \u201cL\u2019ultimo sogno\u201d by Giuseppe Verdi and Carlo Ciceri<\/strong>. Her role debuts as Tatyana in \u201cEugene Onegin\u201d<\/strong> at Municipal de Santiago <\/strong>and Marguerite \u201cFaust\u201d in France<\/strong> were cancelled due to Covid-19.<\/span><\/div>\n
     Recent  highlights  also include her return to the Royal Opera House as a guest artist as Musetta \u201cLa boh\u00e8me\u201d<\/strong> and Violetta \u201cLa Traviata\u201d<\/strong>, a role and a company debut at Staatsoper Stuttgart as Mimi \u201cLa boh\u00e8me\u201d<\/strong>, a <\/span>role debut as Micaela \u201cCarmen\u201d in J. K. Tyl Theatre Plzen<\/strong>, company debuts at Oper K\u00f6ln<\/strong> and <\/span>Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe as Violetta \u201cLa traviata\u201d<\/strong>, a house debut as Clotilde in J\u00fcrgen Rose\u2019s <\/span>production of Norma at Bayerische Staatsoper, Leonora \u201cIl trovatore\u201d with Opera de Baug\u00e9<\/strong> and a role <\/span>and house debut as Adalgisa Norma at Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile<\/strong>. <\/span><\/div>\n
    Borovko appeared as <\/span>Mademoiselle Jouvenot in \u201cAdriana Lecouvreur\u201d<\/strong> concert version starring Anna Netrebko at Deutsche <\/strong><\/span>Oper Berlin<\/strong> in 2019 The other highlights on the concert plarform include the engagements with BBC <\/strong><\/span>Orchestra in Cardiff and Grange Festival <\/span><\/strong>as the soloist in<\/span> \u201cRequiem\u201d by G. Verdi. <\/span><\/strong>Borovko was <\/span>a finalist in Placido Domingo\u2019s prestigious 2017 Operalia competition<\/strong>. <\/span>She worked with such conductors as Antonio <\/span>Pappano, Daniel Oren, Bertrand de Billy, Christophe Rousset, Daniele Callegari among others. <\/span>Further role assignments whilst on the Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House<\/strong> included <\/span>Frasquita \u201cCarmen\u201d, Xenia<\/strong> in a new production of \u201cBoris Godunov\u201d<\/strong> which was also presented at the BBC <\/strong><\/span>Proms, Anna \u201cNabucco\u201d, Clotilde \u201cNorma\u201d, Ermione \u201cOreste\u201d, Mlle Jouvenot \u201cAdriana Lecouvreur\u201d, and <\/span><\/strong>Giannetta \u201cL\u2019elisir d\u2019amore\u201d<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n
      Borovko initially went on to study foreign languages at the Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod. <\/span>Upon her graduation she enrolled at the Kazan State Conservatory where she studied under the <\/span>guidance of Galina Lastovka. While still a student, she was invited to take part in the world premieres of <\/span>two contemporary works and sang Stephano \u201cRom\u00e9o et Juliette\u201d<\/strong> in Kazan. She made her professional <\/span>opera debut as M\u00e9rc\u00e8des \u201cCarmen\u201d<\/strong> at Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre and sang Annie and <\/span>Strawberry Woman Porgy and Bess with Marco Boemi at the International Shalyapin Opera Festival<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
