Many thanks to Opera Awards Foundation for sponsoring my educational journey to Prague, which included  sessions with several coaches to work at the role of Leonora  in “Il Trovatore”, auditions preparation and an audio recording of a Rossinian aria.  During the coaching period I also had a unique chance to sing on  stage of The Estates Theatre. I am very delighted and honored to be chosen as a bursary recipient in 2018.

I wish the Opera Awards foundation to discover new exceptional opera talents and much success in this important mission.

штор     Vlada Borovko returned to London to make her role debut as Musetta in the first revival of “La Boheme” by British director Richard Jones. She sang six performances at the Royal Opera House in summer 2018 .
Conducted by Nicola Luisotti and Paul Wynne Griffiths, the cast included Ekaterina Siurina as Mimi and Atalla Ayan as Rodolfo among others. Vlada’s role debut got good critical acclaim.

“Vlada Borovko displays a sumptuous soprano as Musetta, and has the presence to help make Act II feel suitably grand”.

“Musetta’s defiant first aria, ‘Quando me’n vo …’ (When I go out) has even been used as the basis for two pop songs. Vlada Borovko not only sings with magnificent provocation but does it while standing on a table and taking off her underwear”.

“Transformation of her character in the last moments of Mimi’s life is unforgettable and very touching”.
